  • Ford Sells Lemon: Attorney Krieg pursued a lawsuit against Ford Motor Co. for knowingly selling a lemon to a consumer. The vehicle had undergone major transmission repairs at the dealership after it was returned from the first buyer for continuous transmission problems. The consumer was not notified of the transmission work, even when they requested a full vehicle history report. A jury held Ford accountable for violating California lemon laws by awarding a $10 million dollar punitive award. Learn more.
  • Car Insurance Fraud: Mr. Krieg filed suits against four Fresno area car dealerships alleging the dealerships allowed unlicensed sales personnel to sell insurance policies to vulnerable clients purchasing vehicles. We advocate for clients who have purchased the insurance policies believing the insurance provided is the state mandated insurance coverage.   • $100,000 Award to Legal Services: Following a major class action lawsuit, Attorney Krieg allotted $100,000 of excess class action funds to Central California Legal Services (CCLS). Residual Cy Pres Funds were distributed to CCLS and nine other legal services organizations, resulting in one million dollars of funds paid out. Learn more.
  • Car sales fraud: Mr. Krieg successfully held Bingham Toyota accountable for selling a lemon to consumers. The lawsuit alleged that the dealership knowingly sold a jeep which had been in a major accident without notifying the buyers of the accident. The jury awarded a verdict of $34,200 in compensatory damages and $140,000 in punitive damages. Bingham Ford plans to appeal. Learn more.
  • Car sales fraud: Mr. Krieg held a Fresno car dealership accountable for violating lemon laws. Carr Bazaar intentionally sold a consumer a defective vehicle and refused to uphold their promise to repair the vehicle. After a jury awarded $45,410 in compensatory damages and continued to contemplate punitive damages against the dealership, the case settled for a total award of $75,000. Learn more.
  • Fresno Dodge Sales Fraud: In a lawsuit filed by William M. Krieg & Associates, Fresno Dodge was ordered to reimburse 267 consumers who had purchased used vehicles without being disclosed of the vehicle's former use as rental vehicles. Learn more.
  • Motor Home Sales Fraud: Mr. Krieg represented consumers in a case involving recycled lemon sales. A motor coach dealer was held accountable by a jury for knowingly selling a lemon to another dealer who subsequently sold the vehicle to a consumer. The jury awarded $300,000 in punitive damages.   • Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, Geo Lemon Sales Fraud: A dealer knowingly sold a lemon to a consumer without disclosing the fact that the vehicle had been in an accident. Mr. Krieg pursued the dealership for fraud and returned a jury award of $100,000 in punitive damages for fraud, negligence, and violation of the Consumer Legal Remedies Act. Learn more.
